So this past sunday baby Jacob got to have his baby blessing. His daddy gave him his blessing and it was such an amazing experience for them. Jake did an great job and gave him a wonderful blessing for his future. I know Jake was really nervous about saying the first part, but he did awesome and didn't mess up at all. He had Bishop Pippo (the man who married us) also stand in, so that was special. Marjean was able to come down and visit us for this special time. It was great having her around for the weekend. I was able to get the laundry done which had been waiting for me for some time now:) good thing we have lots of clothes. Baby jacob enjoyed having his grandma play with him and hold him. He started coming up with some pretty funny expresions lately all of which he practiced on his grandma.
side note: We took baby Jacob o the ER the on Saturday at 2am because he was running a fever of 100+ degrees. When we got there the doctors took his temp and it had gone down to normal which was weird because we took his temp on the way there and we live to blocks away. Anyway after 4hrs 3 tries to get an IV in, 2 irays, 1 pee sample, blood sample and saline poor baby jacob was exhausted and unhappy. After all that the doctors said he was okay. Weird i know. However after this trying visit baby jacob has not been the same, he has become colicy (according to his pediatrician). This is starting to wear me out during the day. Luckily we tried some gas relief drops and it has helped him sleep from about 12ish to 5am-ish. Which is great. Hopefully he will start to feel safe again and be able to self sooth without our constant assistance.
